Middle-schoolers in the greater Boston area attempt to gain acceptance into some of the top private boarding schools in New England through a one-of-a-kind gap year program designed to encourage low-income students of color. Four years later, as seniors in high school, three students reflect on the social costs of this demanding transition into elite predominantly-white spaces.
